Blog

Well I have not posted for awhile, so I would like to share a few new piece with you that were

made ready for the Texas Porcelain Convention in Abilene, Texas April 18th - 22nd

at the Elegante Suites on Ridgewood Dr.

The above box is 7" and is a Kingfisher framed in by scrolls on the top. There are about 5-6 fires on this and the enamel dots were put on the last fire.   did not count but there were alot of them!

You know how I love to paint birds!!!!

! 8" x10"  tile   Yellow Warblers.

This painting is a little more dramatic in tone using shadow shapes in the

background with lots of warm colors.  This one took about 4 fires.

I will talk and demonstrate at the convention on Thurs. and Fri. on the

use of shadows in your paintings.  Many other artists will be doing other demonstrations

throughout the day.   An area has been provided for artists to display and many booths

will be set up to sell paintings and supplies.   We welcome you to join us and have a great day looking.

When I return,  I will be setting up a booth the next weekend for the ARTFEST in

Wimberley, Texas on the Square.   Another great day....
