Today I will start on a couple of porcelain pieces.    The beach oil painting will wait and I think I have the "Orange Bucket" finished.

Putting it on the site today.I will share the progression on one of the beach paintings, like I said I would.

The hardest thing, I think, for my porcelains is deciding what to put on the piece and how to design it.  Imagining what it is going to look like before it is there!  These pieces are fired each time the paint is put on, so it is permanent.  Most of the time it is a dimensional and a functional object, so that really dictates the design.  I have found some lilies that I love so I will paint those on the oval tile that I have here.

This little box I haven't decided yet.  I do know I want the flowers in the center of the top and to trail over the sides into a heart shape.  Therefore they might be violets, which are small.   I also want a border somewhere.   I will start by getting the graphite pencil design on  tracing paper the size of my piece of porcelain.  I will make any adjustments on that paper to make sure it is correct and I am sure that is what I want.

 So I will get started!  Stay tuned..........
