No. 3 in the Christmas Tea Cup Series - finished

This is the #3 of the Christmas Tea Cup Series that I finished today.
It is on Arches 140 lb watercolor paper to which I very loosely did a painting with transparent watercolors.
Because I did want this one to be looser in nature, I decided to work over my watercolor in pastels. These were my regular block chalk pastels, not my pencils. I knew that if I used my pencils, I would have a tendency to tighten up, and I did not want that.
My friend Sandy sent me a complementary pastel journal so I can blame her.....Seriously, I do love pastels, but I just need to focus on the few mediums I already work in. I remember now how messy they are.
There are a few more compositions of this series to do, so until later
